• What it is

Modernist Week + Modernist Fair: annual event recreating Alcoy’s modernist and industrial splendor with theater, music, dance, parades, guided tours, workshops, period market and family activities.

• Dates and structure

It is usually held in the fourth week of September; for example, in 2025 it is scheduled for September 22–28, with the central fair on the weekend.

• The Fira Modernista takes place in La Glorieta park, with traditional crafts stalls, tastings, period dances, historical reenactments and children’s activities (games, workshops, themed escape rooms, etc.).
• In parallel, the following are organized:

Guided modernist routes and cemetery visits (funerary architecture).
Conferences, concerts, period theater, reenactments of historical scenes (workers’ demonstrations, bourgeois weddings, etc.).
